The Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square East, Dublin 1

Congress and the Health and Safety Authority invite you at attend a national commemorative event on Monday 29 April at 9.30am in the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square East, Dublin 1 to mark Workers' Memorial Day.
Workers’ Memorial Day is an international day of remembrance for all those who have died in work-related incidents. In Ireland, 459 people died in work-related incidents over a ten-year period from 2014-2023.
During the ceremony, a minutes silence will be held, and afterwards Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Emer Higgins TD along with members of the McCann family will lay a wreath in honour of all those who died in workplace incidents in Ireland.
62 year old John McCann from Clondalkin, in Dublin lost his life in a workplace incident when he fell from a height, 24 metres, down a ventilation shaft, in September 2019.
