Conference: Reaffirms the critical role of education in creating a more equal society and a more vibrant economy. Deplores the cuts in educational supports particularly those affecting the most vulnerable children in our education system. Condemns the increase in teacher unemployment at a time of increased school enrolments. Demands that the Government prioritise investment in education and increase spending in education to a level comparable to other developed countries as part of its strategy to achieve economic recovery.
