Motion no: 33

Proposing
Fermanagh Trades Council
Decision
Rejected

At the second North/South Retired Workers seminar in February 2017, it was noted that the trade union movement has nothing to fear from the retired members sections as their common objective is to support and grow the union movement. One avenue to develop this would  be structures by which to submit directly and speak in support of motions to BDCs. Congress is therefore instructed to bring forward whatever change of rules is necessary, to enable one motion jointly submitted by the Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland Retired Workers Committees for each Congress BDC. The content of this motion to be issues which are of concern to retired members.
