Special Fund for Trades Councils

That this conference instructs the incoming ICTU Executive Council to address the matter of all ICTU af liated unions providing a special fund, to be controlled by the Executive Council, to develop and expand the role of Trade Councils, particularly with regard to cultural and community work. The object of the fund being to improve the pro le of unions in the relevant Council area. This should also seek to expand/grow trade union membership in the Trades Councils' areas. None of the foregoing would detrimentally affect current af liations paid to existing Trades Councils.
