Strategic Plan for Future of the Trade Union Movement

This conference recognises the extremely serious challenges facing the very existence of the trade union movement in Ireland and fully accepts the absolute necessity to respond with an appropriate and resourced plan of action to reverse current trends. Therefore, this conference calls on the incoming Executive Council, as a matter of urgency, to establish a small working group comprising of members of the Executive Council and others deemed appropriate to develop a strategic plan for the future of the movement building on the work of the Commission on Trade Unions and best international practice. A draft plan should be presented to the Executive Council no later than 31st January, 2018
