This Congress believes that workers must not pay the price of the UK's exit from the European Union. Congress will commit to ensuring that there will be no attempt to undermine, erode or remove worker's rights gained under European legislation. Congress will do all within its power to seek to keep employment a matter devolved to the Northern Ireland assembly. Furthermore, Congress will lobby vigorously to have any future legislation passed in the European Union and enacted in Ireland which bene ts workers, extended to Northern Ireland. Congress will seek to ensure that protections under the Posted Workers Directive are fully maintained to ensure that there is no undercutting of pay rates or the potential exploitation of those workers posted.
