A very successful visit was made to Colombia in November 2012
A delegation from Northern Ireland, which included trade unionists and politicians from across the political spectrum, visited Colombia recently to highlight the current situation there.
The aim of the delegation was to listen to the experiences of the Colombian people and share their own experiences of the peace process in Northern Ireland, whilst also attempting to focus the international spotlight on the human rights abuses in Colombia, in advance of the final vote on the EU Free Trade Agreement.
