A report published by the Asthma Society of Ireland says nearly 1.4m workdays were lost due to asthma in 2016, at a cost to the Irish economy of nearly €200m."©
The report, Easing Economic Burden of Asthma – The Impact of a Universal Asthma Self-Management Programme, takes figures from the Healthy Ireland Survey 2016, which show that 916,463 workdays were lost by females and 463,112 by males.
