Congress has worked with affiliates to design and distribute thousands of face masks with the logo Pro-Mask is Pro-Worker.
The idea of the mask is to demonstrate trade union opposition to those who have used the pandemic to promote far-right ideology.
David Joyce Congress Equality Officer said, "Congress has a long history of opposing racism and working to ensure that the fundamental right of every worker, including black and minority ethnic people to be free from discrimination is vindicated".
David Joyce said "although the fight against racism and xenophobia in all its forms is not new, trade union action is now more urgent than ever. Trade unions will continue to organise against racism at work and to tackle ongoing disparities in health and safety, pay, and working conditions that the pandemic has shone a light upon".
