Congress and the National Women's Council have jointly written to all of our MEPs urging them to support the revision of the proposed Maternity Leave or Pregnant Workers Directive. The Commission is considering withdrawing the proposal to strengthen maternity leave and rights of women who have recently given birth and/or are breastfeeding. The letter draws the attention of MEPs to a joint ETUC / European Women's Lobby submission.
