The Government has signed a regulation extending the validity of Safe Pass cards during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 (SI 102/2020) provide that arising from the cessation of SOLAS Safe Pass training during the COVID-19 emergency, where the four year period expires after March 1st 2020 the safety awareness card concerned shall be regarded as valid for the period of the cessation of training.
